about

Chorus Jig (trad.) / Opera Reel (trad.)

These two old fiddle tunes are associated with very similar contra dances, and lie at the heart of what I feel this album is about. While Opera Reel was more popular in upstate New York in the 1800’s, Chorus Jig is danced far more often today.
